The German Catalysis Meeting is going into the next round - join us in Weimar for the 53rd edition of the conference "Jahrestreffen Deutscher Katalytiker" from 11-13th March 2020!
This conference has established itself as one of the most important European catalysis events, covering all aspects from research on the fundamentals of catalysis, the understanding of catalytic processes, catalyst design to reaction engineering and industrial applications. More than 600 experts from universities, research institutes and industry meet annually to present their research, exchange their ideas and share new developments and the latest results in all areas of catalysis.
As in former years, the conference has a double focus: To highlight state-of-the art research and development from theory to application, and to provide an opportunity for young scientists to present their scientific results, discuss their research with academic peers and build and expand a professional network. For the 2020 edition, renowned plenary speakers from academia and industry have been invited, setting additional highlights in the scientific programme of the conference. Similar to previous meetings an industrial exhibition and several poster workshops will accompany the scientific programme.
The "Katalytikertreffen" started as a small meeting of individual researchers in East Germany, who discussed catalytic results and commenced initial collaborations with industry. Today it has become one of the hotspots for the European catalysis community, stimulated by the special atmosphere in the beautiful and historically important town of Weimar.

The Career Forum is organised by YounGeCatS, the Young Catalysts Group, and will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 5 p.m. in the Seminar House.

Registration is possible, subject to capacity in the lecture rooms, up to the beginning of the conference. Confirmation of registration will be sent immediately by mail. The invoice, with payment confirmation, you will receive by post mail within two weeks.
Editorial deadline for the list of participants is 24 February 2020.
The registration fees include conference ticket, book of abstracts and list of participants . All documents will be handed out on-site.
Cancellations are only accepted in writing (i.e. by fax, surface mail or e-mail).

For accommodation we reserved a contingent of rooms at special rates. The rooms are reserved by 28 January 2020. After that date there will be no guarantee for room contingents.
IBU-tec focuses on the thermal treatment of inorganic materials, utilizing rotary kilns and pulsation reactors.
Clients will get support for various challenges, ranging from material & process development to scale-up projects. Tolling services open up production options for a broad range of materials including catalysts and battery materials. Furthermore, IBU-tec provides engineering and optimization services for on-site projects. Following the recent acquisition of BNT Chemicals, organotin catalysts are now also part of the product portfolio.
During the visit to IBU-tec AG on 11 March 2020, the company will present itself briefly in a presentation. Afterwards the participants can expect a guided tour through the company with an insight into the technologies "Rotary Kiln & Pulsation Reactor", the laboratory as well as the newly commissioned pilot plant. Interested participants (only limited number) are asked to register under . The excursion will start and end at the bus parking lot Weimar-Atrium (“Busparkplatz Weimar-Atrium”) (8:30-11:30 on March, 11th). A detailed schedule will be communicated for the participants as well as via the YounGeCatS network in advance to the event.
